Doting dad Simon Cowell shares new picture of sleeping newborn son Eric flanked by cuddly toys and reveals 'the last three days have been incredible'

He became a proud father for the first time when he welcomed baby son Eric into the world on Valentine's Day and took to Twitter two days later to share some touching family photographs.
And it seems former Mr. Nasty Simon Cowell has succumbed to the charm of his gorgeous son with Lauren Silverman, and can't resist showing off the bundle of joy.
Simon tweeted on Monday that 'The last three days have been incredible,' before adding a cute picture of his sleeping son, named after his late father, with a cuddly toy on either side of him.

Unlike the black and white pictures he posted on Sunday, this latest snap of Eric is in full colour.
The tot is wrapped up in a grey blanket with a knitted elephant on one side and a cuddly dog on the other.
But with all of the distractions of being a new dad, Simon hasn't forgotten his other two babies, adding in his tweet that his dogs Sqiddly and Diddly are also happy.

He wrote: 'Eric Lauren sqiddly and diddly all happy (sic).'
On Sunday evening, the 54-year-old music mogul revealed he was unprepared for how much 'love and pride' he would feel towards his 'handsome' baby son as he posted three artistic black-and-white shots to his Twitter page.

One snap showed him and Lauren gazing adoringly at the new addition to their family, with the American socialite tenderly stroking little Eric's head as Simon cradled the tot in his arms.
Alongside the photograph, he wrote: 'Mum, Dad and Eric. Now two days old.'
Another shot showed the X Factor supremo affectionately patting his son's forehead as Eric clasped onto his thumb with a firm grip alongside the text: '…. now you can see how very handsome little Eric is.'

Lauren gave birth to their healthy baby boy on Friday. And after what must have been some much needed rest, Simon arrived back at the hospital in New York City on Saturday, to see his brand new son Eric experience his second day out in the world.

The music mogul and new father was every bit the proud, radiant parent as he gave onlookers the thumbs up on his way in to see his two loves.

And d it has been revealed Lauren had some help in the delivery room as she gave birth to her second son- she has an eight-year old called Adam with ex-husband Andrew SIlverman - at 17.45 EST on Friday, Valentine's Day, weighing 6lbs 7oz.

A source told MailOnline: 'Lauren's mother and sister were in the delivery room with them when she gave birth. Simon's mother, Julie, is looking forward to meeting the baby in the UK.'

Cowell tweeted just hours later, giving away the infant's name: 'Very happy to say Eric was born at 17.45pm. Healthy and handsome.'

He later added an explanatory note: 'Named after my dad'.
Simon collected Lauren and Eric from the hospital on Sunday afternoon.
