Best dressed Lupita Nyong'o brings her proud mother to the BAFTAs (and she's oh so stylish too!)

She could have had her pick of the young showbiz hunks to escort her down the red carpet.
But Lupita Nyong'o is clearly a mummy's girl, as she preferred to let her mother Dorothy experience the glitz first hand at the 2014 BAFTAs on Sunday.
The 12 Years A Slave actress looked like she was having a great time as she lived it up at the star-studded event in London.

And she had reason to smile as she arrived for the thrilling awards spectacle, as she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress and the hotly-contested Rising Star award.

Unfortunately for the 30-year-old actress, she ended up leaving empty-handed after losing out to American Hustle favourite Jennifer Lawrence and 21-year-old British actor Will Poulter respectively.
However 12 Years did fare well overall, as it won the coveted best picture award, with star Chiwetel Ejiofor also scooping best actor.
Lupita did manage to look positively ravishing thanks to her impressive emerald green silk fishtail-hem gown by Christian Dior.
And Delightful Dorothy looked almost as good in a more conservative ensemble of turquoise blazer and complimentary blue maxi-dress.
The actress was born in Mexico and was initially raised in the South American country while her parents were political refugees after fleeing their native Kenya.

Explaining her unique upbringing, she said: 'My father is a politician. At the time he was also a professor of political science and he was organizing for democracy in Kenya.
'We were under an autocratic regime and after a series of unfortunate events, including the disappearance of his brother, he went into political exile in Mexico. I was born in his last year there.
'All my conscious memories are in Kenya until when I was 16 my parents sent me back to Mexico to learn Spanish.'
She also revealed it was watching 80s classic The Color Purple that inspired her to take up acting, adding: ‘It was first time I’d seen someone like me on screen. Whoopi Goldberg had my kind of hair and was dark like me. I thought, maybe I could do this for a living.’
