'To Catherine, all my love': Michael Douglas pays tribute to absent Catherine Zeta-Jones as he picks up Golden Globe award

Michael Douglas thanked his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones as he picked up the Best Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture gong at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.
The couple split in August but are believed to have recently reconciled and while Catherine, 44, did not accompany Michael to the ceremony in LA, he made sure to pay tribute to her in his speech. 
Douglas, 69, who was honoured for his role as Liberace in Behind the Candelabra, thanked Catherine along with their children Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10 and his son Cameron, 35, who is currently in jail.

His speech ended with a simple: 'To Catherine, Carys, Cameron and Dylan - all my love!'

The dapper star, who was clad in a tuxedo and sported a goatee, also paid tribute to his co-star Matt Damon and joked 'The reason you're not up here is because I had more sequins.'
He spoke of Matt's talent calling him 'the best actor' and Matt looked visibly touched by his friend's speech.

Michael attended Sean Penn’s Haiti benefit at the Montage in Beverly Hills on Saturday night where he revealed Catherine had not accompanied him to LA from their home in Bedford, Connecticut.
'She's back east with the kids,' he told E! News, before adding 'All is good.'
Michael and Catherine spent the festive season skiing with their children in Canada.

The Last Vegas star posted a photo to Facebook of the family decked out in ski gear with the message, 'Happy New Year from Quebec, Canada... where it is minus 10F.'
And Douglas has been hinting in recent interviews that the couple have reconciled. 
The Wall Street star told GQ Magazine that he has high hopes for the future of his marriage with the Welsh beauty.

'I hope to resolve my marriage in a positive fashion,' he said. 
During an appearance on The Jay Leno show, the Romancing The Stone star added that talks between himself and Catherine have been going well. 
When asked how things are between them, he answered: 'Good I hope. I've been away for a while but everything should hopefully be on the up and up.'
