So as Madonna stepped out in the city on Wednesday, she decided to wrap up so thoroughly that all that could be seen was a tiny glimpse of her face.
The 55-year-old entertainer wore a pair of pink jogging bottoms, padded coat, furry hat and patterned scarf worn over the bottom section of her face - with a pair of sunglasses covering the top half.
She completed her look with a pair of black boots to stop her slipping over in the icy snow.

Madonna's outing came after she shared images of her daughter Mercy on her Instagram page as she celebrated her eighth birthday on Wednesday.
One shot showed Mercy blowing out the candles on her birthday cake, with Madonna captioning the shot: 'Happy Birthday Mercy James ! 8 is Great! #love 4 ever.'
The singer then shared a shot of Mercy with her elder sister Lourdes, 17, kicking back on the bed while posing for the camera.

Earlier this week, Madonna was praised as the 'greatest visual musical artist' by Kanye West during
his chat with director Steve McQueen for Interview magazine.
The Bound 2 rapper said: 'Madonna, I think, is the greatest visual musical artist that we've ever had.
'If you look at her photo log, the photographers that she was able to work with throughout her career framed her in the proper way. It was the proper context.
'It was that visual that made sure that everything was gonna cut through in a certain way.'
