Chain Store Reaction! Make-up free Diana Ross, 69, picks up groceries dressed down in leggings and Ugg boots

Diana Ross may be one of the world's most successful singers.

But on Tuesday, she wasn't looking so glam - blending into the masses as she went grocery shopping in West Hollywood.

The 69-year-old megastar, who turns 70 in March, was dressed down in a loose black cardigan, black leggings, and Ugg boots.

She went make-up free and shielded her eyes with a pair of oversized sunglasses as she got in her car.

The Ain't No Mountain High Enough singer is likely welcoming some time off, having spent much of last year touring through South America and the United States.

This year, she has upcoming concerts in April in Dallas, Kansas City, and Chicago.

Diana has much to celebrate, as her 25-year-old son, Evan Ross, has recently become engaged to the love of his life, 29-year-old Ashlee Simpson.

The two announced the news via Twitter on January 13, while on Hawaiian holiday.

'My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!! Hallelujah Hawaii !!!!!' Ashlee tweeted, along with a picture of the two drenched in sunshine.

In it, an elaborately designed ring is visible.
Evan tweeted the same photo, with the caption: 'The love of my life said YES!!!!!!'

Diana met her daughter-in-law, who divorced rocker Peter Wentz in 2011, after her sell-out performance with the LA Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl in August.

Ashlee - who attended the concert - was said to be understandably nervous about the encounter.
But according to the New York Post's Page Six, she needn't have worried.

The newspaper said a fellow guest overheard Ashlee saying that she was 'nervous . . . but Diana is wonderful and very open.'

Others described Diana's youngest son and his girlfriend looking happy and relaxed.
Another onlooker revealed: 'She was nice and said hello to Diana. Everyone was in a good mood and Ashlee just blended in as Diana's son's girlfriend.'
