The actress put comfort over style on Tuesday night to wind down after performing on Broadway.

She was spotted sporting a pair of navy high-top trainers as she left the New York theatre.

The 48-year-old was also wrapped up warm in a grey knitted bobble hat, a leather jacket and cosy rolled-up boyfriend jeans.

Sarah Jessica went bare-faced, no doubt eager to scrub off her heavy stage make-up shortly after the performance had ended.

The Sex And The City star had clearly had a good night and seemed cheerful as she giggled with pals, who no doubt were congratulating her on her work.

Sarah Jessica, who also had a green python bag slung over one shoulder, then hopped into her awaiting limo.

No doubt she was excited to get back to her husband Matthew Broderick and their three children, son James Wilkie and twin daughters Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge.

Sarah Jessica had left the theatre alongside her The Commons Of Pensacola co-star Blythe Danner.

Blythe also made sure to stay protected against the Big Apple chill, in a thick black jacket and trousers and a chunky check scarf.

The play, by Amanda Peet, has been extended and will be showing until February 9.
