The Chelsea defender was replying to a snarky comment on Twitter, which asked if he had taken the former Girls Aloud star back.
Ashley retorted: ‘Maybe she could be the big box I have at my house, lol just going to jump out.’

The conversation came about after the footballer had mentioned that it was his 33rd birthday on Friday.

Cole tweeted: 'Anyway it's my birthday tomorrow so getting old but life goes on enjoy your evening peeps.'
And one of his followers took the moment to goad Ashley about his ex-wife, who were married for four years before they split over his alleged infidelities.

The Geordie singer doesn't follow Ashley Cole so she may not have seen the humorous tweet by her ex-husband.
Both Cheryl and Ash have since been in relationships, with the England international star reportedly dating ‘adult model’ Roxanne Jeffers.
Cheryl has only recently split up with backing dancer Tre Holloway, who she was with for fourteen months, before reports of the end of their romance came in October this year.
