The show will go on: Fast & Furious 7 director James Wan says production will not stop on film after Paul Walker's death

Paul Walker's tragic death will not cease production of his final movie, Fast & Furious 7, the film's director has confirmed.
James Wan, 36, told a TMZ on Friday night that the crew are 'very sad and sombre,' but added 'we are dealing with it.'
Asked if he thought production would go on, he said, 'yes', confirming that there are no plans to abandon the movie.

The Malaysian Australian film producer, screenwriter and film director is best known for directing the Saw horror franchise, but recently inherited the Fast franchise from
director Justin Lin.

Fast 7 was originally scheduled for a July 11 release date, but after the shocking death of leading man Paul Walker, the studio notified cast and crew that production would be on hold indefinitely.
Walker, 40, died when a limited-edition Porsche he was riding in crashed at 3:30p.m. on Saturday 30th November in Valencia, California. The driver, Walker's friend Roger Rodas, also died.

On Wednesday, Universal released a statement saying: 'Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers. At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise.'
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office ruled Wednesday that Walker, 40, died from the 'combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.'
The ruling indicates that the actor survived the collision, with serious injuries, but died only after the car caught fire - which came up to 60 seconds after the $500,000 Porsche Carrera GT smashed into a tree and a post.
The 40-year-old actor starred in five of the six Fast & Furious films about illegal street racing and heists, and it is not yet known how the director will finish the movie.
Some sources speculate he may 'write the actor out' of the final scenes, or even re-shoot completely using another lead actor.
Walker's Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel has meanwhile posted a heart-wrenching Facebook post honoring his close friend.
Diesel wrote how he jumped on a plane and headed straight to Walker's mother's house directly after hearing the news of his death. He explains: 'His mother hugged me and said "I am so sorry,"' he wrote in a post that has received more than five million likes. 'I said "sorry? You're the mother who lost a son? ..." She said "yes, but you lost your other half."'
