But at the weekend, Mariah Carey, 43, and her husband of five years Nick Cannon, 33, were the picture of marital bliss as they posed happily together in snowy Aspen with their children.
Last month, Radar reported that the pair hadn't been pictured together in 107 days, prompting speculation over their relationship troubles.

Mariah herself added further fuel to the fire when she told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday that Nick wasn't around during her pregnancy.
She explained, 'I had preeclampsia; I had gestational diabetes, a really difficult pregnancy and I was alone most of the time.'
Perhaps realising what she had said, Mariah added: 'We love Nick, but he’s working!'.

When asked about how she would be spending Christmas, Mariah failed to mention Nick, saying: 'I’m going to have the best time possible in a snowy layer ensconced in Aspen with the babies.'
Meanwhile, if there has been any troubles in their relationship - it seems that Mariah has been burying her head in the snow while in Aspen.

The singer has been posted a barrage of 'selfies' while on holiday - including a snap of her in a barely-there bikini standing by a Christmas tree.
In another shot, Mariah wore a brown puffy parka with a fur-lined hood, fluffy white ear muffs, tan knit gloves and sunglasses. The former American Idle judge smiled cheek-to-cheek with her cute daughter, who was wearing a bright pink parka with pink glasses to match and had her hair up in ponytails.
In a second Instagram, captioned 'Me & Miss Monroe go sledding,' Mariah wore the same outfit, sans ear muffs and added a white scarf. Monroe donned a white knit cap with a pom-pom atop it for the activity.

Based on recent comments from Mariah, it looks as if little Monroe might be a budding diva, just like her mommy.
Mariah recently revealed to Access Hollywood that her daughter has high hopes for her Christmas present this year, and has her eye on her mother's diamond necklace.
She said: 'She wants my necklace, my diamonds. I said, "This is mommy's. You know who bought this for mommy? Mommy. You know how long it took mommy to get it? A really, really long time." '

Asked if Monroe will be receiving any jewelery of her own for Christmas, Mariah said: 'She'll get some little ruby earrings or something.'
The superstar singer also told how the twins are becoming aware of what the festive season means.
She added: 'This is the first time they're really getting that Christmas is an event that they are going to receive gifts.
'Now they see the tree and they light up. They're so excited ... it's amazing for me to watch and to re-live.'
