His daddy's biggest fan! Cristiano Ronaldo unveils new museum created in his honour, with some help from son Junior

It’s not every day that a footballer gets a museum dedicated to himself and his achievements.

And the solemnity of the occasion was not lost on Cristiano Ronaldo’s three-year-old son, Cristiano Junior.

The well-behaved toddler helped his father unveil a museum plaque in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal, on Sunday.

The museum displays 150 of the soccer player's trophies and awards, with extra room to be filled by future trophies.

The Real Madrid footballer, 28, who is currently on the three-man shortlist to be named the Ballon d'Or winner for a second time, spoke of his future ambitions on the day.
The BBC reports him as saying: ‘It's a special day, I don't want to mention specific ones. All I want is to win more and if the Ballon d'Or comes, there is extra room here.’

‘Here is the evidence of what I have won, no one will take it away from here and these were things I wanted to share with my fans, show them what I have already achieved,’ he added.

Ronaldo looked smart for the occasion, wearing a suit and with Junior dressed in a shirt, tank-top and a Gucci tie and belt.

Also present at the event was Ronaldo’s girlfriend, Russian supermodel Irina Shayk, 27, who was dressed in white and later shared a snap of herself kissing a waxwork model of the footballer.

His museum, which is located on the ground floor of a five-storey building, was opened in front of a large number of fans.

The first trophy on display was won when Ronaldo was eight and played in a tournament with his childhood club Andorinha.

Other artefacts include two Golden Boot awards won for being European football's top scorer.
