Climb every mountain: Madonna takes on bunny slope as daughter Lourdes masters snowboarding on family trip to Switzerland

While Madonna's eldest child Lourdes, 17, seems to be a natural on the slopes, the 55-year-old Material Girl looked less comfortable on skis.
The pop icon took her children, Lourdes Leon, 17, Mercy James, eight, and David Banda Ritchie, also 8, to the resort town of Gstaad, Switzerland, for a winter sports holiday.
While Lourdes was pictured Sunday mastering snowboarding, her mother was snapped on skis learning a beginners move called the snow plow from an instructor.

Madonna was dressed all in black for her day on the slopes, wearing black ski pants, a black parka with multiple zipper pockets and a fur-lined hood with leopard print lining,
a black helmet and black ski boots.
She had a pair of pink-tinted goggles perched on her helmet but was not shown wearing them. She also wore a knit face mask pulled up to protect herself from the cold with just her nose and distinctive eyes, sans makeup, peeking out.
The Vogue singer shared a snap of her oldest daughter on Instagram Sunday, saying: 'Snow Bunny Is DONE!'

Lourdes, who chose the more challenging sport of snowboarding, also work all black, wearing North Face brand pants and parka, a gray helmet with a wisp of her brunette hair showing and a pair of ski goggles resting on her helmet.
Displaying her barefaced beauty, the teenager - who is also the daughter of Carlos Leon - is makeup free and has her mother's fair skin and light eyes. There's no doubt she's taking after her famous mother in the looks department.
The younger children, whom Madonna adopted from Malawi, went for brighter looks, with Mercy wearing an all-pink North Face ski pants and jacket with pink helmet and David opting for a matching all-blue ensemble with a blue helmet.

David and Mercy, who also opted for skiing over snowboarding, were photographed riding the chair lift with their famous mother and an instructor.

Madonna's 13-year-old son Rocco, whose father is the pop star's ex-husband Guy Ritchie, was not photographed with the group.
Before jetting off on holiday, Madonna and Lourdes were seen visiting a Kabbalah Centre in New York.

She seems to have acquired her mother's showbiz streak, taking on the role as the oh-so-tough and sassy Betty Rizzo from the famous 1978 Grease musical earlier in December.
The production took place at LaGuardia Performing Arts school in Manhattan and Lourdes looked quite the part.
The pretty brunette showed off her vocal abilities with her performances of classic tunes, including Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee and There Are Worse Things I Could Do.

Next up, Lourdes is already thinking college, as E! website reports that she visited the University of Michigan with her mother last month.
Madonna used to study there before she moved to New York to become a pop star and has said that she would love her daughter to go there as well.
She told the NFL network in 2012: 'I want my daughter to go there. I keep telling her, Ann Arbor is an awesome place.'
