It seems sixty is the new twenty, at least it is for Christie Brinkley and Iman.
The
two women showed even though its been almost thirty years since they
first started their careers as models, once a supermodel always a
supermodel when they stepped onto the red carpet in New York on Tuesday.
The
pair - who are both just shy of the big 6 - 0 - joined a star studded
crowd for the premiere of hard hitting documentary White Gold at the
Museum of Modern Art.
Ageless beauty: Christie Brinkley and Iman

Iman is always hard to miss but the 58-year-old made sure she stopped traffic in a bright ensemble.
The
model donned a purple tuxedo suit and pant combination with a luminous
pink shirt which looked as though she had taken inspiration from one of
her husband David Bowie's 1970's stage costumes.
While
the outfit may not have won Iman any fashion awards, its slim line and
plunging served to shine a spotlight on the Somali-born beauty's
stunning slender shape.

Still got it: Christie showed off her curves in a tight black long sleeved ribbed dress over stockings
Christie
meanwhile shunned colour going for an all black ensemble that ensured
her quintessential California girl features that made her famous - her
golden tan and perfectly coiffed blonde hair - were even more evident.

The
cover girl arrived at the world premiere in a long black leather trench
coat but quickly ditched it as she posed on the carpet.

The mother of three - Alexa Ray
Joel, 27, and Sailor Brinkley Cook, 15
and Jack Brinkley Cook, 18 - wore little in the way of jewelry but
accessorised her all back ensemble with a matching Hermes Birkin and
pointed patent Christian Louboutins.
Looking
decades younger than 59, Christie made it clear while she has once
again found herself one of the most sought after models.
She, along with her doppelganger daughter Sailor, signed a worldwide representation deal with IMG models last week.
Bad decision: Anna Wintour made the mistake of
wearing a green dyed fur collared jacket which could not have been a
worse choice considering the film White Gold has a strong animal rights
element
Blue steels: David Schwimmer and his wife Zoe Buckman got caught pulling unusual faces
Also attending the event was powerhouses of fashion and the screen Anna Wintour and Sigourney Weaver.
Sigourney
wore a figure flattering blue and black print dress while the Vogue
editor made what can only be described as a fashion faux pas.
While
the Editor-In-Chief of the world's most stylish magazines did not
technically make a style mistake, she did make a taste mistake, wearing
an enormous fur collared jacket.
For the animals: Former Gorillas In The Mist
star Sigourney Weaver also made sure to support the film and wore a
figure flattering blue and black print dress
Hipster chic: Model Veronica Varekova bought a casual but cool style to the red carpet
The green dyed fur could not have been a worse choice considering the film White Gold has a strong animal rights element.
The
38 minute long documentary looks at the continued slaughter of the
endangered African element and the trade in its ivory to fund terrorism.
The documentary is narrated by former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton.
And on tonight's news: Journalist and host Meredith Vieira lent her support
All grown up: Actress Heather Matarazzo, who
starred in Princess Diaries and Welcome To The Dollshouse, also attended
the screening
