Naomi Campbell has revealed she’s asked model friend Kate
Moss to be on her TV show, The Face, which is tipped for a second series.
Naomi, who not only hosts the show and coaches the
contestants but is also the Executive Producer for the show, said: ‘I asked
Kate Moss to do the Face, I asked her last night! I have faith.’
The show, which is aired on Sky Living, aims to find the
'new face' of British modelling by asking contestants to compete in
various tasks including speed-styling and the art of runway walking.
Model behavior: Naomi, who is the
executive producer of the show, told BBC Radio 1 of her plans for the
show's second British season
Speaking on BBC Radio 1’s breakfast show the supermodel explained
she was nervous about the show airing in Britain: ‘I was nervous in a positive
way because most people
say they don't know what I'm like.
‘I was nervous about how I would be perceived because it's
in England and this is where I was born.
‘For me, the nerves are just to show that it's accepted and
understood for what it is and it's true and authentic.'
The Face began this September in a primetime slot, but
viewing figures weren’t as high as expected with Broadcast magazine reporting
the show drawing in just 132,000 viewers for its first episode.
Despite this, the show has been commissioned for a second
series in the US and looks to be headed for a second series in the UK too - with Naomi heading up both simultaneously.
Do me a favour: Naomi Campbell has asked model friend Kate Moss to join her on Sky Living TV series The Face
With a worldwide modelling career spanning several decades, you’d think Naomi was
used to looking at herself in front of the camera, but the model revealed it
was ‘a bit strange’.
She said: ‘When I'm here I watch it. I've been here twice so I've been able to see it.
‘It's a bit strange watching myself.’
She added: ‘When I watch it I'm working, doing the social media stuff. I'm not really watching watching.’
The supermodel was taking part in a prank-calling feature on Radio 1 called Call or Delete.
She continued: 'She wants dolphins... Or you could offer some kind of cat - a tiger, or a lion. We can go to the zoo and ask them if we can borrow an animal.'
To which the stunned club-owner dutifully replied: 'We can sort that.'

She
suffered a forfeit and as a result had to call famed New York club
owner/restaurateur Richie Akiva and convince him that Lady Gaga wanted
him to build a nightclub for her to perform in, the next day in London.
The big question: Naomi Campbell has asked
model Kate Moss to be a coach on her TV show The Face. The star revealed
she called her to ask if she'd consider being a coach on the Sky Living
show
Naomi
began the conversation saying: 'You've got 24 hours to get a 1OAK
London up. Lady Gaga wants to perform there tomorrow evening.'She continued: 'She wants dolphins... Or you could offer some kind of cat - a tiger, or a lion. We can go to the zoo and ask them if we can borrow an animal.'
To which the stunned club-owner dutifully replied: 'We can sort that.'
While on the BBC breakfast show, Naomi tried to recruit
radio host Nick Grimshaw to walk the catwalk at her next charity fashion show.
She said: ‘The next Fashion for Relief I organise, you are
walking the runway!
‘We are trying to get one together in January for LA, would
you come out to LA?’
To which Nick, who is close friends with several models such
as Kate Moss and Pixie Geldof, said: ‘For fashion, yes!’
