Gilly Iyer has left Jennifer’s camp to work for producer Jermaine Dupri, who as of last week is part of Mariah’s management team.
According to the reports, Gilly has been planning the move for a while, but J-Lo had no idea.
Another thing to feud over?: Jennifer Lopez's assistant has apparently quit in order to work for Mariah Carey (R)
While Jennifer was apparently blindsided by her assistant’s sudden departure, she sprung into action and has already found someone to fill Gilly’s shoes.
‘Jennifer was stunned. But she has already hired a replacement,’ the insider added.
Switching camps: Jermaine Dupri joined Mariah's management last week, and Gilly Iyers has apparently gone to work for him
The pair are said to have called it quits after 'months of heated arguments.'
The singer reportedly reached her 'breaking point' with her former backup dancer, 26, and 'threw him out,' according to Star.
Trouble in paradise: Meanwhile reports have
surfaced that Jennifer has split from her toyboy lover Casper Smart, who
she is seen with in May
United front: Despite break-up rumours Casper shared this photo of himself and J-Lo on 'date night' on Monday
'She's didn't get her way about something and blamed him,' said the source. 'She would let him take any of his belongings, saying: "You came with nothing; you will leave with nothing."'
But other sources say the pair haven't split, although a breakup may be 'imminent.'
'Things are not going well at the moment,' an insider told E! Online. 'They are bickering and it's clear to the people around them that there is an irritation between them at the moment. It's hot and cold, but more cold than hot right now.'
Reclaiming her throne: Jennifer is returning to
American Idol after being replaced by Mariah for one season. She is seen
here in season 11 with Steven Tyler (L) and Randy Jackson(
But after just one season, which saw viewing figures plummet, producers managed to lure J-Lo back in and she resumed her seat on the Idol throne, but not before landing a $15million paycheck.
When asked about her decision to return, J-Lo told Ellen Degeneres: 'Um, it was actually a difficult decision because I had a lot of stuff going on,'
'It was going to be hard to fit it in. To be really honest, I just love the show and I love working with the singers and I love the family here.'
Bad move: Mariah joined the panel alongside (L-R) Randy, Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj, but ratings plummeted
