As usual, the 55-year-old was dressed to be noticed.
She wore bright red high-waist pants held up by an elegant leather belt, with a long-sleeved red shirt tucked in the top.

White socks beneath black loafers gave her wardrobe an interesting edge, and her long blonde tresses stood out almost as much as her red-on-red.

The star seemed to be thoroughly overjoyed to be at the important global event, listening intently to the presentations and applauding enthusiastically when appropriate.

Sharon threw up the peace sign when it was her turn to chat with the media outlets, and slipped on her black rimmed glasses and headphones for quieter moments during the ceremony.

Although she matched the venue's chairs and luxurious red carpet, most others seemed to be dressed in more conservative shades, rendering Sharon a stunning sight in a sea of monochrome.

Though most know Sharon as an icon of the screen, it is her work behind the scenes in society that seems to drive her equally.

Writing to the Nobel Laureates about her recognition at this year's World Summit, she said: 'Thank you for this extraordinary honor, the consideration of Which alone is life changing. I accept with joy, your nomination and gladly declare my intention to attend the Awards Ceremony.

'It will be my pleasure to attend the XIII World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates and my honor to Represent you all with integrity and grace.'
When the Sliver actress paid a visit to the Museum of the History of Polish Jews earlier in the day, she added extra warmth with a full-length brown coat and carried a classy embroidered handbag.
She traded out her fetching prescription glasses for a pair of round black sunglasses.

The actress will be joined by Bollywood veteran Aishwarya Rai when the black tie dinner and auction takes place at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Mumbai on November 17.

‘I would like to thank the people of India for their brave and contentious work in the fight against HIV/AIDS and for allowing amFAR the privilege of joining them in this important global effort,’ Sharon said in a statement.
‘We are grateful and humbled to be welcomed by the Indian community and to share in the wealth of knowledge provided by the Indian people and its government.’
