A source close to Jennifer insists to Mail Online that the report is false. A spokesperson refused to comment.
'She's didn't get her way about something and blamed him,' said the source. 'She would let him take any of his belongings, saying: "You came with nothing; you will leave with nothing."'
But other sources say the pair haven't split, although a breakup may be 'imminent.'
'Things are not going well at the moment,' an insider told EOnline. 'They are bickering and it's clear to the people around them that there is an irritation between them at the moment. It's hot and cold, but more cold than hot right now.'
Jennifer, who started dating Casper just three months after separating from third husband Marc Anthony in 2011, 'was lacking confidence at the time and [Casper] was the best medicine for her. He gave her back her confidence and made her feel special.'
Casper is 'not the big love of her life,' said the source. 'If this relationship lasts it will be surprising to everyone.'
One reason why the pair have stuck it out so long is because Jennifer's twins Max and Emme have a close relationship with Casper, according to EOnline.
Meanwhile, Jennifer has returned to the judging panel on American Idol, with a purported $15 million salary.
When asked about her decision to return, J-Lo told Ellen Degeneres: 'Um, it was actually a difficult decision because I had a lot of stuff going on,'
'It was going to be hard to fit it in. To be really honest, I just love the show and I love working with the singers and I love the family here.'
