'I haven't told Simon': Sinitta signs record deal without the help of ex-boyfriend Cowell

She's best known as Simon Cowell’s ex, but singer Sinitta has signed a new record deal – without the X Factor mogul’s help.
The 49-year-old, left, who reached No2 in 1986 with So Macho, has been signed to release an album through indie label Energise Records.
But the songstress has yet to involve Simon in her plans, and admits that she may wait until the media furore surrounding her recent revelations about their relationship has blown over.

‘I haven’t told Simon,’ she said. ‘He doesn’t know this yet, but I will get him involved in the new year. He’s excellent at deciding which songs his acts should cover.’
