She may have battled with her weight over the years but Oprah Winfrey is now flaunting a new slimline figure.

What a difference a few months can make as Oprah stepped out in the LA sunshine looking fabulous in a bright, figure-hugging outfit.

The talkshow star, who has been open about her weight struggles in the past, couldn't stop smiling as she left the hair salon on Thursday.

The 59-year-old looked as if she had lost some weight since she stepped out for The Butler premiere in New York, in August.

Wearing a sparkly peach-coloured dress and silver heels, Oprah appeared noticeably heavier compared with recent photos.

The entrepreneur looked eager to show off her curvy figure in a pair of tight skinny jeans, as she enjoyed some time off.

Teaming her trousers with a v-neck pink jumper, the star looked stylish yet casual as she emerged from her appointment.

Her outfit was completed with a pair of comfy-looking metallic flip-flops and a large wooden bangle.

The busy philanthropist, who kept her large sunglasses firmly in place, clutched her phone as she spoke to photographers.

Oprah regularly shares her healthy eating tips with her 21 million Twitter follows, while also offering general advice.

The billionaire is currently house hunting in Hollywood, as Oscar buzz builds for her turn in The Butler, MailOnline can reveal.

Less than two weeks ago, Oprah was seen looking at exclusive properties around Los Angeles as  sources say she plans to become more involved in the film business.

It follows her highly-lauded performance as Gloria Gaines, the conflicted, proud wife of White House butler Cecil Gaines (Forest Whitaker), in the Weinstein Company’s movie.

Oprah looked at a private residence in Beverly Hills, where a sprawling apartment can cost up to $16.8million.

Each of the 20 residences benefit from concierge services and amenities from the five-star hotel including the spa and offer private balconies with dramatic views of the surrounding hills and cityscape.
