Earlier this year she insisted she was completely natural, but admitted she had tried Botox before and disliked the outcome.

But Nicole Kidman's appearance at Variety's 5th Annual Power of Women event in Beverly Hills on Friday may well spell otherwise.

The 46-year-old was completely line-free and appeared expressionless in the face as she chatted and laughed alongside fellow actress, Charlize Theron.

Nicole, who was honoured at the luncheon, meanwhile opted to cover up completely in a ladylike black shirt dress, cinched in at the waist with a gold belt to display her slender middle area.
The vintage-style frock also featured a gold leather collar, cuffs and buttons.

Letting her frock do all of the talking, Nicole donned a pair of matching black and gold sandals, a simple pair of gold drop earrings and a gold watch.

Meanwhile, Charlize, also an honouree, crossed over to the light side in a white mini dress, which she expertly teamed with two-toned monochrome patent heels, a black and white patterned clutch and large pearl earrings. 

The South African star, 38, had her famous blonde cropped hair coiffed in a polished and glossy 'do and glowed in minimal make-up.

Earlier this year, Nicole spoke out about her much talked about line-free appearance.

She insisted at the time that she was completely natural after experimenting with Botox in the past.

Nicole had tried the wrinkle-smoothing injections but said she planned to avoid them in the future as she liked having control over her facial expressions.

She told Italian newspaper La Repubblica in February: 'No surgery for me; I did try Botox, unfortunately, but I got out of it and now I can finally move my face again.'

Although she experimented with Botox, Nicole said she stuck to a healthy eating plan and rigorous exercise regime to stay looking good.

She said: 'I am completely natural. I wear sunscreen, I don't smoke and I take care of myself, and I am proud to say that.

'Anybody can do anything to themselves - I don't judge - but personally I believe in being physically fit. That's how I was raised.

'I can't go in the sun because I'm fair-skinned. It was a nightmare when I was younger but it has its benefits now.'

Meanwhile, Nicole and Charlize were joined by several other A-list women at the event on Friday, held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel.
