The 31-year-old pop princess has been under the conservatorship of her dad Jamie for five years and he has filed a petition seeking more money for rent for his offices, says RadarOnline.
According to his filing, Jamie, who recently requested that his $16,000 per month to look after Britney’s interests continues, wants to increase his monthly rent allowance from $1,200 to $2,000 after it escalated and he wishes to be reimbursed for $7,200 he has already spent.
In charge: Britney Spears' father Jamie took
charge of her affairs after she was hospitalised and put on 5150
involuntary psychiatric hold in 2008
good faith and in her best interests.
‘I continue to have significant oversight duties relating to her visitation with her children.
‘As my rent has steadily escalated over the last three years, I request that I be reimbursed an additional $800.00 per month for my office expense for the time period of November 1, 2012, through August 31, 2013.’
He also asks ‘that I be authorized to spend the sum of $2,000 monthly, rather than the previously ordered $1,200 monthly, for my office space in a secure location that is dedicated to Britney’s activities’.
Deal: The pop star has signed a two-year deal
for a concert residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las
Vegas, which Jamie says he worked on at his offices
The blonde beauty's father was initially granted a conservatorship order - which is a legal agreement where a parent or guardian looks after the financial affairs of their child - in 2008 after she was hospitalised and put on 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold.
He has served as conservator since 2008, although he shared responsibility with Britney’s former fiancĂ© Jason Trawick for a brief period.
Meanwhile, Britney’s attorneys are also asking the court to increase their usual payment of 50 percent of their fees to 80 percent and also to cover 100 percent of their costs.
Conservatorship: Britney's father says he continues to have 'oversight duties relating to her visitation with her children'
The pop star has signed a two-year deal for a concert residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in the US gambling capital, and part of the legal agreement with Caesars Entertainment - the parent company of Planet Hollywood - is that her dad and several lawyers keep control of her finances and other aspects of her life.
A source told Radaronline.com: ''The contract clearly states if Britney's conservatorship ends, Caesars Entertainment has the right to cancel the deal.
'Britney will have a medical team in Las Vegas and if needed, her psychiatrist, who based in Los Angeles, will be made available to her should she need.''
Recovered: Although Britney is back to her best
she must remain under the conservatorship of her father while performing
in Las Vegas
