Adorable video of Tom Hanks meeting with an autistic fan shows how he really is one of the nicest stars in the business

Tom Hanks has based his lengthy career on the image of him being one of the nicest guys in show business.
He just shored up that title once more as he met with a young girl with autism who is one of his biggest fans.
The veteran actor gave Sarah Moretti the thrill of a lifetime when he chatted with her and her mother backstage while he was starring in a play on Broadway.

'Sweetie how wonderful it is to meet you!' he said to the overwhelmed girl.
Sarah has been a fan of the Academy Award winner for years and has kept a binder of all of the news clippings.
'Sarah this is so great! You know what, my mom doesn't have something like this!' he said as he looked through the pages of himself.
'Look how young I was!' he said as Sarah was next to him speechless in shock.
'You didn't miss a thing!'
One potentially awkward moment came when Sarah's mom, who was in the room filming the interaction, casually stated that they had once traveled to Malibu hoping to catch a glimpse of him.
'Did you know we came to your house once and we stood outside of the gated community crying?' the unseen mother said from behind the camera.
Speechless: Hanks looked through the scrapbook of news clippings that Sarah had been collecting, chronicling his career for years and he added his signature and a note

Unnerved: Hanks kept his cool when the girl's mother added that they had been to his house and stood outside of the gate crying

Hanks, the consummate professional, kept his cool rather than being unnerved by the comment and he played along, saying that he hoped they had a good time at the beach during their visit.
'He was so gracious to look through it and make a big fuss,' Rita Abraham wrote in the caption of the video that she posted of the meeting on Youtube.
'(Sarah) is delighted. This is an A+++++ guy and she's a Lucky Girl,' she wrote, making a play on the fact that Hanks was starring in a play called Lucky Guy at the time of the interaction.
