The glamour model, 35, ended up having an emergency operation, before being released the same day.
Katie's spokesperson confirmed she had a 'small' operation, but was now recovering well.

A source told the Daily Mirror: 'Katie was obviously really worried, as was Kieran. It’s been a difficult few months, as she has been plagued by so many complications.
'This was yet another problem for her to face, but once she had the emergency op, which went well, she was able to leave hospital late that night to return home to her children.'
Katie hasn't commented on her health on her Twitter page, but has been tweeting this week about her new bridal range.
On Tuesday she posted a photo of a cupcake with a marzipan baby on it, writing: 'Baby Jett, he is as sweet as a cupcake xx.'
The mother-of-four openly admitted having a difficult pregnancy with Jett and ended up going into labour two months early while on holiday in France.

To her distress, Kieran wasn't allowed in the operating room during his son's birth.
Little Jett, who was 5lbs 2oz, was delivered by emergency caesarean, before spending several weeks in an incubator.
The couple have been home in England since early September after Jett was deemed strong enough to leave hospital.

In an interview with The Sun earlier this month, she said: 'Bringing life into the world is supposed to be magical. But what I went through was a nightmare.
'The only thing that had got me through the nightmare was the thought of cradling my little boy.'
Katie and Kieran wed in front of just a few people in the Bahamas on January 16 after getting engaged after Christmas - just two months after she ended her 20 month on/off romance with Argentine model Leandro Penna.
In February, Katie announced she was pregnant with her fourth child.
Her surprise pregnancy comes after failed IVF attempts to start a family with Leandro and second ex-husband Alex Reid.
She started dating Alex just a few months after splitting from first husband Peter Andre, but left him in January 2011 after 11 months of marriage.
She also had a 20 month on/off romance and subsequent engagement with Leandro, but they never made it down the aisle.
