Sarah Jessica Parker has always been a New York Fashion Week stalwart.
But this year she seems happier to spend time with her family - as she did on Tuesday.
The 48-year-old was spotted taking her twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha, out on a playdate in New York City.

Fashion sense: Four-year-old Marion donned a
colourful sundress with lots of abstract patterns while mum Sarah kept
things simple
Sarah wore a casual
outfit for the day out, choosing a simple V-neck T-shirt and a pair of
dark denim jeans with a wide rolled-up cuff that flashed a bit of leg.
She also wore a pair of strappy black sandals, a trio of gleaming necklaces and a pair of dark oversized sunglasses.
Her
demure fashion sense didn't hold back her four-year-old daughters, as
they both donned bright dresses perfect for the end of summer.
Tabitha
sported a dress with shades of purple and blue, while Marion opted for a
sky-blue piece with lots of abstract patterns in white, navy and red.
In a cute look, the pair also wore matching bright red flats.

SJP is known her fashionista habits, but she was conspicuously missing from many New York Fashion Week events over the weekend.
She did, however, make an appearance at the Lexus Design Disrupted event on September 5.
Sarah donned all black on the night, shying away from the usual eye-catching ensembles that she has donned on other red carpets.

Instead
of going out to events every night, she's been spending plenty of time
with the twins, husband Matthew Broderick and 11-year-old son James.
She seems perfectly content as a mother and last month gushed about how happy she is with Matthew.
'We're very devoted to our family and our lives. I love our life,' she told Yahoo in August. 'I love
that he's the father of my children, and it's because of him that
there's this whole other world that I love.'
