Doctor Who star Matt Smith keeps it in the family as he brings sister Laura Jayne as his date to the GQ Awards

He's one of the most eligible bachelors in showbiz, and could have had his pick of women.
But at one of the most star-studded events of the year, actor Matt Smith brought his sister, Laura Jayne.
The two siblings looked very close as they posed on the red carpet at the GQ awards on Tuesday night.

The Dr Who star, who previously dated model Daisy Lowe, seemed in good spirits as
he turned up to the award ceremony with his big sister.
And Laura Jayne looked stunning in a floor length, sea green gown.
The cabaret dancer complimented her Grecian style dress with a golden glow and her brunette hair swept to the side in loose curls.

Her make up and jewellery was kept minimal and classy with a nude lip colour and pop of blush on her cheeks.
But despite her elegant appearance, the dancer has a racier past.
She appeared in the 2004 music video to the Eric Prydz song Call on me.The video famously featured women scantily clad in aerobics gear, danging suggestively.

The 32-year-old has previously revealed the hand she played in steering her younger brother into the world of acting.
She told the Mail On Sunday that her younger brother had, had a promising early career in football but an injury had ruined his chances.
‘He was distraught because football was the only thing he’d seen in his future,’ she said.
‘And when that was taken away from him I was determined he had to find something else he could feel as passionate about.’
Laura Jayne, who was already finding success on the west end stage persuaded Matt to pursue his interest in acting.

Her sisterly encouragement certainly paid off, as Matt's career has gone from strength to strength.
The 30-year-old is the youngest actor ever to play the iconic Dr Who character and his performance has been met with critical acclaim.
The star will bow out of the role in a Christmas episode.
He has also been filming the lead role in Hollywood Star Ryan Gosling's directorial debut, How To Catch A Monster, in Detroit.
